A Look At Jewish Philanthropist Adam Milstein Who Is Adam Milstein?
Adam Milstein is an Israeli-American who currently resides in the United States. Mr. Milstein was born in Haifa, Israel and grew up in the city and later in the surrounding suburbs such as Kiryat Yam and Kiryat Motzkin. Adam Milsteinis the oldest of three siblings being born in 1952. His younger brother is called Joshua and his younger sister is called Dalit. They were born in in 1957 and 1959 respectively.
Adam Milstein’s parents were Jews who emigrated from Latin America to the Jewish state of Israel after it was founded in 1948. His mother moved from Mexico only a year after the Jewish state was established in 1949 at the age of 19. The father of Adam moved to Israel in 1948, the same year Israel declared statehood and independence from the United Kingdom. They got married in 1950 and settled down in Haifa where they later raised three children including Adam and his siblings.
Mr. Milstein’s educational background includes a bachelors of science degree in business and economics from the Israeli Institute of Technology also known as the “Technion” in his hometown of Haifa, Israel. When he immigrated to the United States in 1981 along with his wife and kids he would study at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and obtain a master’s degree in business administration from there. Adam Milstein is also a war veteran who saw real combat during the 1973 Yom Kippur War. He was enlisted in the army as part of the mandatory military service for all men and women over the age of 18 in the Jewish state of Israel. The Yom Kippur was was a victory for Israel and reaffirmed Israel’s right to exist among hostile Muslim neighbors.
How Does Adam Milstein Give Back To The Jewish Community?
Adam and his wife called Gila created a charitable foundation that they called the Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation. It provides a lot of money to Jewish charities. Mr. Milstein not only donates a lot of money to Jewish charities but actually takes a role in the charities such as serving on the board, helping them fund raise and connect with other similar like minded organizations. Mr. Milstein also created the Isreali American Council and is the chairman of its national expansion committee.
